One of my favorite clients is the Utah Office of Tourism. They’re fun to work with and they produce some of the finest travel and tourism publications in the United States. Award winning, actually. It’s always an honor to learn that one of my images is going to appear in one of their products. I just got word last week that they are using the image above, of Calf Creek Falls from an unusual vantage point, in their 2013 calendar. I’d like to extend a huge thank you to them for their continued business and support. I’d also like to thank my friend Guy Tal for sharing this amazing location with me. I think I owe you a beer or two, Guy!

Clint Losee says:
Amazing image and congrats! Looks like somewhere I need to add to my list of places in Utah to photograph.
Russ Bishop says:
Congrats Bret – that’s awesome! Such a great image of this unique view.
Bret Edge says:
Thanks, Clint! Calf Creek Falls is impressive from any angle. I’ve photographed it from above and from below. I’d like to go back during the peak of fall color to photograph it again as there are many cottonwoods around the falls that could make for some lovely images.
Bret Edge says:
Really appreciate the comment, Russ!
Austin Cronnelly says:
Wow, Bret. That is a damn fine image…. Certainly well deserved!
Bret Edge says:
Thanks so much, Austin. Always nice to hear such kind compliments on my work!
Mike Smith says:
I agree – a really beautiful image! Do you get to sell that one or does it become property of UOT? Also, I would like to join you in the fall if you go again!
Sunil Shinde says:
Fantastic. And congratulations!
Petr Hlavacek says:
Great image Bret! Congrats!
Bret Edge says:
Thank you, Petr!
Bret Edge says:
Really appreciate it, Sunil. If you haven’t been there I think you would love it.
Bret Edge says:
Thanks a lot, Mike! Do I get to sell the calendar or the print? I won’t be selling the calendar because I’ve already got my own and don’t want to bring in anything to compete w/ it. But, I am making the image available as a print or canvas wrap. I won’t make it there this fall as I’ve got too much guiding business lined up to be able to get away this fall. But, there is always 2013!
David Leland Hyde says:
I can see why they chose it. Good work. What a great vantage point…
Bret Edge says:
Thanks very much, David. It really is an amazing vantage point. I wouldn’t have found out if Guy hadn’t shared it with me.
Patricia Knight says:
Congratulations! That is a breathtaking image. I was just there last summer but at a lower elevation. I absolutely love this perspective though.
Bret Edge says:
Thanks very much, Patricia. Calf Creek Falls is beautiful from any angle. There’s just something about a big waterfall in the desert, isn’t there?
Guy Tal says:
That’s wonderful. Congratulations, Bret! Looking forward to our next excursion.

Thanks so much, Guy. I look forward to getting out with you again some time, too. I hope it’s soon!
